Just finished reading General Stanley McChrystal’s book “Leaders – Myth and Reality”. This is an excellent read for any student of leadership. If you are truly passionate about understanding what makes a leader a leader – than this book is an important source. General McCrystal uses the same format at Plutarch’s Lives comparing sets of leaders with each other. Here’s a few examples – Boss Tweed compared to Margaret Thatcher – fascinating, or Albert Einstein compared to Leonard Bernstein – magical, or Martin Luther King Jr compared to Martin Luther – inspiring. This is an amazing study in the nature of leadership. This is an important book and I highly recommend it.
